V	Vassilis Arvanitopoulos on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most favourite places of tourists in Catania is the Duomo square with the Elephant Statue, the symbol of the city, the magnificent church of Santa Agatha and the vivid outdoors market near by. People come to enjoy the view or some small events by individuals. The promenade is great and never stops. The near by shops offer a rest to those who want to enjoy more. So now think that if you are lucky and get a room here at this hotel, then you enjoy all these at your convenience of time. You may even wake up at night and still you get all this great never ending view. Except of the view, talking about the quality of services is not only the nice decorated rooms, since the most important detail is the human factor. Here the people look, and they are, very polite and customer's friendly. All you need for a great vacation.

Best be in shape for climbing the steps with your bags ;-). It was fun having breakfast outside at the corner "café". First time anyone ever offered me ice-cream for breakfast. Pity I don't understand Italian, considering the heat, that would have made a refreshing start to my day.

It's not the most luxurious, but it was comfortable enough, with good air conditioning to help with the blazing heat while we were visiting. Plus, the view we had from our balcony was absolutely amazing (see the 1st picture below), and you're in literally the best spot possible for a tourist (in the 2nd picture, you can see the hotel from a nearby church roof). For the price it's unbeatable.

Thought, that hotel in Palermo was the worst one, but after I went into this hotel - I changed my mind... Once entered the room - turned on the light, and light switch cover fallen on the ground. Went to the toilet and noticed dirty towels left for us. Fridge - dirty with a little bit of mold (maybe it had to be exotic..???!!!), lockers next to bed - missing handles, wardrobe aswell broken. Went out from the hotel - receptionist was away and locked hotel doors (how we were supposed to go inside then..?). We were supposed to stay for a night out there, but decided to change hotel to another one nearby. I would say, that "Hotel Centrale Europe" shouldn't call theirselves as a hotel...
