★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mi piace moltissimo andare a comprare il pesce da Daniela e Jana. Mi piace così tanto che ho dedicato loro anche una poesia (in romanesco, che a Grado è un po' fuori luogo, ma, ahimé, è la voce che mi sento dentro)
Ar mercato
Er momento più bello è la matina
annà ar mercato in bici de bonora.
La sfilata de le barche se sfiora
lungo er porto, legate a la banchina.
De l'osterie se imbocca la stradina
'ndov'è vietato girà in bicicletta
(ma gnisuno ar divieto je dà retta).
Du' belle donne attorno a la trentina
vendono er pesce da dietro 'n bancone:
branzino, orata, sojiola, corvina
polipo, sgombro, asià, rombo e sardone.
- Je lo pulimo quanno stamo in pace -
ce dicheno - Ma come lo cucina?
Bollito, ar forno o arosto su la brace? -.
- Levatece le scaje e l'interiora.
‘O famo ar forno. Tornamo tra 'n'ora. -
 I really love going to Daniela and Jana to buy fish. I like it so much that I even dedicated a poem to them (in Roman dialect, which in Grado is a bit out of place, but alas, it's the voice I hear inside)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sarà che Grado è invasa dai tedeschi con portafogli gonfi di euro, ma i pezzi di questo negozione sono proibitivi. Peraltro non è tutta merce del luogo, ma arriva fin dalla Sicilia: è evidente che è un negozio per stranieri. Un esempio: banane Chiquita "scontate" da 3,7 a 3,00 al kg perché troppo mature (invendibili in qualunque altro negozio). Pesche a 4,7 €. al kg ... A parte le banane, sarà anche tutto buonissimo... ma a che prezzi!
Maybe Grado is invaded by the Germans with portfolios full of euros, but the pieces of this negotiation are prohibitive. Moreover, it is not all local merchandise, but comes from Sicily: it is evident that it is a shop for foreigners. An example: Chiquita bananas "discounted" from 3.7 to 3.00 per kg because they are too ripe (unsaleable in any other shop). Peaches at € 4.7. per kg ... Apart from bananas, everything will also be delicious ... but at what prices!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nettes Ambiente in der alten Fischhalle. Man findet dort etwas für Küche und Keller. Ist auch ein nettes Souvenir zum mitnehmen. Probier es mal selbst.
Nice ambience in the old fish hall. You will find something for the kitchen and cellar there. It's also a nice souvenir to take away. Try it yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Buoni gli affettati anche se venduti a prezzi sopra la media di mercato. Ma quello che fa sospettare di imbroglio è il peso che la gentile sig. ra al banco effettua 2 volte, prima e dopo l'incartamento, facendo pagare la confezione al prezzo del prodotto, poco corretto!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono presenti piccole identità commerciali di prestigio. I prodotti locali fanno bella mostra di se sugli scaffali. Il Friuli Venezia Giulia è presente ovunque e gli occhi corrono veloci da un prodotto e l'altro stregati da profumi antichi che riportano alla memoria immagini di casa, di famiglia e di "buono" da mettere sulla tavola.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opening times are wrong. Went here at 1700 on a Thursday, doors were locked and no lights on despite it saying open on here and the signs on the door stating 1630. Waste of time and fuel.
