Absolutely awesome authentic little gem in the heart of Venice. We loved every minute of we spent here. The staff was nice, friendly and explained everything to us. They were super happy when it turned out i spoke Italian. Our waitress was a gem. The languistini pasta was a hot, also the tuna Tartar. I tried the cuttlefish with its ink & polenta ( local dish) … well i did it for the team ? Lovely place… don’t miss it if you are here ???

Locals eat here - always a good sign. Simple food, well done. We had bass (one grilled, one "al forno", both good), tuna steak, and baccalá.

Nice spot for traditional Venetian cuisine. Food is good and prices are reasonable, around 16 euros for a pasta.

I mean, overall, it's an ok place to eat. I was just unfortunate to get a hair in my food. They fixed it, took it back, and fixed me a new plate. But good taste and good location. I also ordered a glass of wine which I had to go into the restaurant to remind them to bring me after 15minutes.

A very nice traditional eatery packed with locals, and really reasonably priced. Ask for their daily specials, there’s more than on the (English) menu. Everyone is super friendly, even though it’s more Italian speaking. The spaghetti nero were very delicious, and the taglioni with gamberi and zucchini came with a generous portion of prawns! Loved their Prosecco and homemade tiramisu!

Be advised this area of the Northern Canneregio can be very busy. Mostly locals and those who know good food. We arrived on a Monday in August and the area was slammed. We tried most of the recommended places on Fondamente del Ormesini for a table, Vino Vero, Al Timon, Rioba, Paradiso, all of them full. My wife found an empty outside table at Osteria al Mariner. The place didn’t look impressive to me, but then I remembered it had good reviews. The nice waitress took our order, a mezza litre of bianco and and antipasto of octopus salad. The salad was huge with lettuce, potato, celery, olives, and bits of octopus. Very good. We both ordered the specialita del giorno tagliatelle with scallops & porcini mushrooms. We had another mezza litre of the bianco. It was a beautiful evening and everything was perfect. Grazie mille (66euro)

Tasty Venetian food, friendly service, good house wine - all reasonably priced in a friendly, cosy atmosphere. The recommended millefoglie for desert hit the spot - so yummy.
