Tra gli ulivi, la vecchia ruota da carro e le botti da vino ornamentali lo stabile sembra riportarci indietro nel tempo. Il cibo è buono, casareccio ma di qualità, in particolare lo spezzatino che viene servito come antipasto, di altissimo livello, saporito, morbido e gustoso. Da provare assolutamente l'amaro della casa, gustoso, non eccessivamente forte e molto aromatico. Igiene impeccabile, pulita sia la sala esterna sia l'interna, bagni puliti e serviti. Per apprezzare la storicità del posto chiedete la storia del nome Canciumati, non ve ne pentirete. Ristorante molto ampio, carino, stile rustico, ben curato, pulito, posto semplice, ben arredato con mobili antichi e circondato da sopramobili, oggetti e attrezzi tipici della tradizione Calabrese. Hai la netta sensazione di stare al sud in Calabria con la C maiuscola, piatti buoni con sapori meridionali, porzioni ottime, personale gentile e molto educato. Rimane il mio ristorante del sud preferito. It is a big shame to go to Caccuri without stopping to eat at the Canciumati farmhouse. Very large, nice restaurant, rustic style, well cared for, clean, simple place, well furnished with antiques and surrounded by ornaments, objects and tools typical of the Calabrian tradition. You have the distinct feeling of being in the south in Calabria with a capital C, good dishes with southern flavors, excellent portions, kind and very polite staff. It remains my favorite southern restaurant.

L'antipasto non era male. Il prezzo però è stato adeguato a quello che abbiamo mangiato. Poor enough. They offered us a tagliatella with porcini mushrooms and they brought us a pasta with obviously frozen mixed mushrooms. The starter wasn't bad. The price however was adequate for what we ate.
