Perfect view, very friendly service, silent, comfortable.

Small and quiet camping, 15 walking minutes from Lake Garda (but beware: those meters are not an easy walk: you'll descent quite a distance!). It's close enough to enjoy the pleasures of the lake, but it is also far enough to escape the very busy, small and rocky, beaches around the lake (in Summer, you are sure to be not the only tourist around!). The camp site is situated beautifully between olive trees, and there is plenty of shadow to escape the sun. When we were there, other visitors were mainly Germans, Italians and French, with the occasional Dutch, Belgian, Spanish and Bulgarian visitor. Some of them stay for only one or two nights, while others stay for one or two weeks. Although the swimming pool is situated beautifully, it is really not aimed at (small) children. There are some rules to keep the quietness (no ball games allowed, no noise allowed, jumping and diving not allowed), and also some rather ridiculous rules that give the impression that they were only invented to keep children from enjoying the pool (like entering or leaving the pool only at a specific point ("because otherwise the floor around the pool will get wet"???)). Nevertheless, children can enjoy the pool if you can keep them within the rules. If not, you will be pointed at the rules by the owner: he's always around for a chat, but also to guard the rules. Which he both does in a very friendly way, by the way. All personell is friendly, toilets are kept clean (for each gender, only one "normal" toilet is available), and there's a friendly atmosphere at the camp site. Note that the places are not suitable for big tents (our 5x7 meter tent filled our complete spot). If there are many visitors, there may not be enough parking places on the camp site itself, and you will have to park your car outside the premises, a 150 meter walk away from the gate. I'd especially recommend this camp site if you are traveling without children, or if you are willing to keep your children busy outside the camp site (plenty of opportunities for that around the lake, by the way!).

Valkenvania at the Garda Lake/Shore ! We have been in one of the flats near the well from the main plant. Dirt and grime everywhere, spider webs and flea bite overnight in beds relocated from Alcatraz ! TV out of order, never fixed the whole time and always nice smile from the landlord while announcement of disturbance and lack of advertised environment. Short foot path to lake shore only for the safety minded hill climber- or walk on heavy traffic mountain road without safety space. Tourist-have fun !

We are parked on the top here and the wiev is fantastic! Everything is perfect here like the bar, pool, laundry, service just name it. If y like your own peace away from rush this is yr place!

Very basic. Tiny plots. Petty rules around the pool about bathcap, silly twine aroud the pool preventing children to jump in the water or have fun. Everything looks al least 30 years old. No shops or restauants in walking distance. Very clean though and hospitable.

Arrived at this campsite on Saturday 15th after a last minute change of plans. We were greeted in English by two members of staff who showed us to our pitch and checked us in. The plot had a lovely view but was extremely small and up a very steep hill. The next morning we informed staff that we were going to stay for 2 nights and check out tomorrow. This was confirmed and we were told it was ok so we made our way down the steep hill to access the lake. Upon returning from the lake we were greeted by rude staff who all of a sudden didn’t understand a word of English??? We were told we must move and change pitch as another camper had arrived and wanted our pitch. Upon stating that we would not move as we had set up and it would be a lot of hassle for us, we were subjected to bad attitudes from the staff as if we had done something wrong. To top this off, the staff decided to then ride up and down the hill towards our pitch until late in the evening on a very noisy scooter. Upon checking out - or attempting to; we were informed that it was cash only?? The staff member then escorted us to the town cash machine after having another bad attitude towards the fact we were unaware of this ‘rule’ although we were never made aware of it. AVOID.

We stayed at the campsite for 10 days. The campsite is not too busy and very atmospheric. There is a lovely big pool with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The sanitary facilities are decent and clean. Luigi is very cooperative and helpful. The family restaurant in the village is also highly recommended. I would definitely like to go back to the campsite and the restaurant! Thanks for the wonderful holiday :)

Absolute terrible experience. Staff are extremely rude. Spaces are very small; not suitable for a motorhome or a car only suitable for a tent. Very steep hill down to the lake with uneven ground to walk on. Very small toilets, two cubicles in both the women’s and the men’s, not acceptable for the amount of people. Will only accept cash and seems to make up the prices as he goes along. Plenty of other campsites available around.
