★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a shame - I had expected much more.....the food was fine but the whole experience was a bit embarrassing. The staff had no idea & I think management was stoned or drunk - quite bizarre really. Italian faulty towers although not humorous unfortunately. Too many other decent options in Cortona - pass on this restaurant. Sorry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a surprisingly excellent lunch there during our visit to Cortona, so much so, that we returned for dinner. The food was delicious and unpretentious. When we where there the place was full and we were the only tourist. The owner was a very nice amiable young fellow. This is a really great place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The chefs fantasy appetizer was just phenomenal, service was excellent and we were delighted that they accaccommodated us without a reservation. Don't forget to try the sfoglio with chanting cream and sour cherries for dessert. It was delightful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want a unique dining experience this is it. The service by our knowledgable waiter Luis, was exemplary. He knew the food and wine, as well as the local history. The restaurant is in amongst Etruscan ruins dating from 800-900 BC. This alone is worth going for. The food and service were excellent. It was one of the highlights of going to Tuscany

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is fantastic and the house wine is very good. Prices are extremely reasonable and service is very good. When asking for the bill, be sure to bring the receipt up to the front for payment instead of waiting for the waiter. Reservations are smart for dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing restaurant hidden in downhill alley very near the main square in Cortona.
The restaurant looks like a historic cellar, carved into the mountain, really romantic and well decorated.
The food and the service was great. Well recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a breathe of fresh air from all the tourism. The service was excellent and the food was heavenly. Truly an experience eating here. We were able to enjoy a lovely dinner, wine, and dessert. Very different dishes that we didn’t get elsewhere. I look forward to eating here again.
