Bartolomeo; in puro stile romanico, presenta la pianta basilicale costituita da tre navate con presbiterio sopraelevato e sottostante cripta cui si accede per due scalinate laterali. Sono riferibili all’edificio romanico originario le arcate, i pilastri e la cripta.
La chiesa è caratterizzata da una pianta ad aula basilicale, con la facciata arretrata all’inizio della seconda campata.
La prima campata sorregge la tettoia che funge da porticato.
L’interno, suddiviso in tre navate, vede una copertura a capriate lignee.
L’abside è semicircolare e la zona presbiteriale è rialzata per ospitare la sottostante cripta.
Quest’ultima risulta divisa in tre navate di due campate ciascuna, che si sviluppano su una pianta rettangolare. La copertura è a crociera, sorretta da tre antiche colonne di recupero con degli insoliti capitelli troncopiramidali rovesciati del sec. XI e si conclude in tre absidi semicircolari.
L’austero torrione campanario è stato distrutto dopo la Seconda Guerra Mondiale.
Today the church is the seat of the parish of San Bartolomeo; in pure Romanesque style, it has a basilica plan consisting of three naves with an elevated presbytery and underlying crypt which is accessed by two side stairways. The arches, pillars and crypt refer to the original Romanesque building.
The church is characterized by a basilica-like hall plan, with the facade set back at the beginning of the second span.
The first span supports the canopy which acts as a portico.
The interior, divided into three naves, features a wooden trussed roof.
The apse is semicircular and the presbytery area is raised to house the underlying crypt.
The latter is divided into three naves of two bays each, which develop on a rectangular plan. The roof is cross-shaped, supported by three ancient salvaged columns with unusual overturned truncated pyramidal capitals of the century. XI and ends in three semicircular apses.
The austere bell tower was destroyed after the Second World War.
