Totalmente ingiustificato nelle dimensioni, un cancro per la città che da solo contribuisce in maniera significativa all'inquinamento. Inoltre chiamatelo col suo nome corretto: INCENERITORE. F	Federico on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spesso passando la sera nei 5km limitrofi all' inceneritore si sentono odori pesanti che di giorno non si sentono, inoltre mi sembra tutt' altro che rispettoso il fatto di incenerire i rifiuti del fuori provincia emanando polveri sottili e contaminanti su tutto il territorio Bresciano, ok la presenza dei filtri.. ma la permeabilità ai maggiori inquinanti non è totale.. e di quelle 700.000 tonnellate di rifiuti bruciati NON penso che resti una percentuale troppo vicina al 90% nei filtri, altrimenti non si spiegherebbe il costante livello d'inquinamento che è stato presente (soprattutto nelle ore notturne) durante la fase centrale del lock down del periodo covid, quando la contaminazione da traffico e industria era sensibilmente ridotta. Altre province, anche limitrofe nello stesso periodo hanno potuto registrare un -19% dell' inquinamento da polveri sottili e -17% dell' inquinamento dato dagli ossidi d'azoto, pur avendo un industrializzazione ben ramificata e simile alla nostra. Questo è un dato che dovrebbe far pensare seriamente sul quanto possa incidere un inceneritore sulla qualità dell' aria della nostra città. L'impianto è dotato di tre linee di combustione e di una turbina a vapore, per la produzione combinata di energia elettrica e calore per il teleriscaldamento di Brescia (600 km di doppio tubo sotto la città) Vengono utilizzati, come combustibili, rifiuti e biomasse, ovvero fonti rinnovabili, anziché petrolio, gas o carbone. L’impianto è in grado di trattare 800 mila tonnellate l’anno di rifiuti e biomasse, generando 570 milioni di chilowattora di elettricità (pari al fabbisogno annuo di 190 mila famiglie) e 800 milioni di chilowattora di calore (pari al fabbisogno per riscaldamento di oltre 60 mila appartamenti), con un risparmio annuale di 150 mila tonnellate equivalenti di petrolio, dando un significativo contributo alla riduzione delle emissioni di anidride carbonica rispetto all’uso di combustibili fossili e allo smaltimento dei rifiuti in discarica. La guida che ci ha accompagnato è stata gentile e ci ha spiegato con precisione come avvengono le varie fasi del processo messo a punto, al fine di smaltire efficacemente i rifiuti, trasformandoli in energia e calore. Ho notato con grande stupore come le persone che lavorano in questo posto, lo facciano con piacere e dedizione. Penso che la maggior parte delle persone, se conoscesse i dati relativi alle emissioni, come esse vengono gestite e controllate, e quanto sia grave il problema dei rifiuti per il nostro paese e per l'Europa, rivaluterebbe l'opinione spesso negativa che si ha su questo sistema di smaltimento dei rifiuti.
