a	antonio cavallo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In vacanza, mi son voluto fermare nuovamente dopo quasi 25 anni nel bar che mi aveva fatto innamorare dei sapori genuini del Salento in ambiente spartano ed essenziale, senza ricorrere a luci, attrazioni e mistificazioni: sapori seri, e basta! Naturalmente il Bar si è aggiornato nell'arredamento, ma i profumi, i sapori e i sorrisi sono gli stessi. Nonostante nella piazza vicina fossero allestiti i gazebo (ormai tipici delle sagre paesane salentine in questo periodo) ai quali si rivolgevano centinaia di "turisti" presenti per la festa della Patrona di Roca Vecchia, da Zia Lucia solo tre tavolini fuori e una folla in coda per ordinare i classici "pezzetti" o le polpette, o la parmigiana, contenuti in un soffice panino o in porzione singola, in terrina di coccio. E il vino "della casa...". Queste le parole: le foto della signora Virginia e delle sue pentole dicono il resto. On vacation, I wanted to stop again after almost 25 years in the bar that had made me fall in love with the genuine flavors of Salento in a spartan and essential environment, without resorting to lights, attractions and mystifications: serious flavors, and that's it! Naturally, the bar has been updated in furnishing, but the smells, tastes and smiles are the same. Despite the fact that the gazebos (now typical of the Salento village festivals in this period) were set up in the nearby square, to which hundreds of "tourists" were present for the feast of the Patron Saint of Roca Vecchia, from Zia Lucia only three tables outside and a crowd in the queue to order the classic "pezzetti" or the polpette, or the parmigiana, contained in a soft sandwich or in a single portion, in an earthenware dish. And the wine "of the house ...". These are the words: the photos of Mrs. Virginia and her pots tell the rest.

Good coffee while poor quality croissants and pasticciotti. One thing that bothered me extremely was that none of the staff wore masks.

Il panino con i pezzetti la cosa più buona che abbia mangiato durante la vacanza. Ottimo il prezzo di tutto!!! Welcome from the bar downstairs, friendliness, the right place to live even a few minutes the everyday life of the splendid Roca Vecchia. Servizio ospitale e genuino che trasmette tutto il calore del Salento. Peccato non poter mettere più di 5 stelle. Servizio approssimativo regole Covid poco rispettate, pulizia del locale da migliorare di sicuro Confusionario poco professionale. Eppure le idee ci sono... Anche la simpatia... Ci vuole un po' più di coraggio e inventiva... Tre stelle d'incoraggiamento le meriterebbe, ma sarebbe scorretto It might be fab isn't it .. sadly! Except the good coffee ...
