★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La frutticoltura in Alto Adige vanta una lunga tradizione. Già nel XVI secolo, i corrieri trasportavano lungo la Val d’Adige frutta fresca e conserve verso le corti austriache e russe. L’inaugurazione della ferrovia del Brennero, nel 1867 consentì di fare un ingresso trionfale in Europa. In seguito a un incremento delle vendite, nel 1893, fu fondata la prima cooperativa frutticola a Lagundo, cui ne seguirono subito molte altre. La Seconda Guerra Mondiale non riuscì a fermare il successo della frutta prodotta in Alto Adige. Già il 24 agosto del 1945, nel rispetto del motto “L’unione fa la forza”, molte cooperative diedero vita a un nuovo consorzio.
Nacque così VOG, il Consorzio delle Cooperative Ortofrutticole dell’Alto Adige.
Dalle 9 cooperative iniziali, si è subito passati alla più grande organizzazione per la commercializzazione della mela in Europa. Dalla sua unione con ESO, nel 1999, questa struttura ha vissuto una fase di riorganizzazione e, se nel 2000, le cooperative frutticole erano 33, dopo varie fusioni, nel 2011, sono diventate 16. Ne fanno parte 5.200 produttori che, su una superficie di circa 10.600 ettari, realizzano un raccolto tra le 550.000 e le 600.000 tonnellate di frutta pregiata di altissima qualità e di ottimo sapore. L’obiettivo comune è quello di garantire un elevato standard di qualità, di aumentare l’efficienza e di ridurre i costi.
Con la nuova strategia di VOG 2010 iniziata il 1° agosto 2010, il consorzio VOG risponde alle sfide del mercato nell’Europa contemporanea e senza frontiere.
Fruit growing in South Tyrol has a long tradition. Already in the 16th century, couriers were transporting fresh fruit and preserves to the Austrian and Russian courts along the Val d’Adige. The inauguration of the Brenner railway in 1867 made it possible to make a triumphal entry into Europe. Following an increase in sales, in 1893, the first fruit cooperative in Lagundo was founded, to which many others immediately followed. The Second World War failed to stop the success of fruit produced in South Tyrol. Already on 24 August 1945, in compliance with the motto "Union is strength", many cooperatives created a new consortium.
Thus VOG was born, the Consortium of South Tyrolean Fruit and Vegetable Cooperatives.
From the 9 initial cooperatives, we immediately moved to the largest organization for the marketing of apples in Europe. Since its union with ESO, in 1999, this structure has undergone a reorganization and, if in 2000, there were 33 fruit cooperatives, after various mergers, in 2011, they became 16. There are 5,200 producers who, on a surface of approximately 10,600 hectares, they produce a harvest between 550,000 and 600,000 tons of high quality and excellent quality fine fruit. The common goal is to guarantee a high standard of quality, to increase efficiency and to reduce costs.
With the new VOG 2010 strategy that began on 1 August 2010, the VOG consortium meets the challenges of the market in contemporary Europe and without borders.
