Se volete assaggiare dei piatti unici, cucinati dal titolare stesso, magari anche fuori all'aria aperta e ritrovarvi in un'aria piena di sorrisi e tanta allegria, Mierò è una tappa obbligata, l'unico posto del suo genere in tutto il Salento.
The Mierò tavern winery was born from the owner's passion for local cuisine. With his sympathy, he involves every person in the culinary journey and in the culture of Salento cuisine, including original fresh vegetables and excellent drinking wine. If you want to taste unique dishes, cooked by the owner himself, maybe even out in the open air and find yourself in an air full of smiles and lots of fun, Mierò is a must, the only place of its kind in the whole of Salento.

Ho trovato per caso l‘osteria, e con le mie amiche abbiamo cenato, antipasti tipici salentini, pitta di patate, parmigiana, purè di fave con cicorie selvatiche, pezzetti di cavallo, il tutto con un ottimo rosato primitivo. Il personale gentile e attento, terneremo.
I found the tavern by chance, and with my friends we had dinner, typical Salento appetizers, potato pitta, parmigiana, mashed fava beans with wild chicory, pieces of horse, all with an excellent primitive rosé. The staff are polite and attentive, will keep you cool.

Casereccio casereccio. Senza lode e senza infamia. Antipasto composto da parmigiana, polpettine fritte, fave e cicoria, provolone e mortadella, primo piatto "pasta fresca con carciofi e fave fresche", secondo polpette al sugo e pezzetti di carne di cavallo, caffè acqua e coca cola 25€ a persona. Tutto cucinato al momento. Bambini 15 €
Homemade homemade. Without praise and without infamy. Appetizer consisting of parmigiana, fried meatballs, broad beans and chicory, provolone and mortadella, first course "fresh pasta with artichokes and fresh broad beans", second meatballs with sauce and pieces of horse meat, coffee, water and coke 25 € per person. All freshly cooked. Children € 15

Easily one of the best meals of our trip! Run buy a quintessential charming Italian restaurateur who chats to all the clientele with an bottomless glass of wine in hand. They had an informal set menu where we were brought seemingly endless antipasto dishes including bruschetta and a local soup dish before a main of amazingly fresh vegetarian pasta (the waiter actually brought out the pan and walked around the restaurant topping everyone's plates up). We skipped the meatballs as were too full by that point but shared a desert made by the wife of the earlier that day. The owner also poured everyone some of their homemade creamy limoncello, made with organic lemons from their yard. We paid €50 for two people - all the food as mentioned plus a carafe of red wine. Great value for the quality food and experience.

Outstanding simple food and wonderful atmosphere. You get so much for your money and it’s the best kind of Italian dishes - simple fresh vegetables, pasta, local traditions and everything homemade. Nothing fancy or pretentious. It’s more or less a fixed menu with a different antipasto and secondo every night, but they do offer you a couple of pasta options. The only unusual thing was that the bread was quite stale, but it was an anomaly in an otherwise memorable and romantic experience. A must visit if you’re in Salento.

Best food we had in Puglia! The fresh quality, the service , the location and the atmosphere of this place made our night so special. The polpette and the fresh orecchiette pasta is a must to try ! Also the sbriciolata almond cake just made by the wife’s owner was just baked and it was one of the best dessert ever! Hope to be back soon!
