Careful and well maintained it is really pleasant to walk on this promenade. Small little park with rides to keep the little ones amused.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Villammare è un piccolo angolo di paradiso, si trova al centro del golfo di policastro e da lì è possibile raggiungere sia la costa di maratea che palinuro o marina di camerota comodamente. La spiaggia è molto estesa, consente di poter scegliere il posto che più si preferisce per trascorrere la giornata di mare sia che si voglia stare in spiaggia libera che su uno dei vari lidi presenti sul lungomare. Nel periodo di agosto la spiaggia è molto affollata, ma basta aspettare ora di pranzo per vederla svuotarsi quasi del tutto e godersi le ore pomeridiane fino al tramonto serenamente e godersi da lì uno dei bellissimi tramonti che caratterizza quella spiaggia: sempre diversi uno dall'altro. La spiaggia è fatta per metà di ciottoli e per metà di sabbia (la parte alta), quindi se non riusciti a camminare agevolmente sui sassi il consiglio è di dotarsi di scarpette che vi consentono di entrare ed uscire dall'acqua agevolmente.

The beach is made up half of pebbles and half of sand (the upper part), so if you are unable to walk easily on the stones, the advice is to equip yourself with shoes that allow you to enter and exit the water easily.
