Very quiet and suitable for children, and families. Even if a bit of entertainment for children would not have spoiled, we still found a good welcome, and availability. I advise.

Anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in a family atmosphere is in good hands here. You leave the last village, another two kilometers through orchards - and land directly on the sea. Admittedly, this isn't quite the color of the Caribbean here, but I still think it's quite passable. But there is a sandy beach, miles long! Another possibility to swim and one of the highlights is the large and clean swimming pool for those who find it more pleasant without salt and waves when they want to get a little sportier. There is a small bar right by the pool, where you can replenish the success of the calories you have lost :-) In the evening there is pizza, of course from the wood oven. The pizzaiolo knows his trade, seldom eaten such a delicious marinara. The sunsets are spectacular, a captivating play of colors against the backdrop of the islands of Stromboli and Panarea. Actually we just wanted to camp. One afternoon the owner Agostino came to us, said there was a storm warning and asked if we needed a room. Since we have already survived some violent winds in the tent, we initially declined with thanks. Then there was really strong wind - and rain. Shortly before midnight, Agostino stood on the mat, unsolicited, he wanted to see that things were going well. Now, the days before, he had brought us a pavilion, also unsolicited and free of charge, for additional shading (it was very hot). His concern was not about HIS pavilion (didn't interest him at all) but about us. I still saw no problem with the tent, just with this pavilion. Because I wanted to save him he went away again, got rope, and in the pouring rain we lashed the pavilion together at midnight. I have seldom, or never at all, experienced such helpfulness. Then one of the two high-tech air mattresses broke. Nowhere to get a replacement, just those thick and heavy air beds. And no blower either, just a foot pump. Would have taken about half an hour? Agostino asked if he happened to have such a blower pump - he didn't, but minutes later the pizzaiolo was standing with a compressor in the trunk in front of our tent. He came back several times, these things only hold up the necessary pressure for one night. No matter who, including the groundskeeper or Agostino's sister Danila, everyone here is absolutely helpful and does a lot more than what is usually known to make the stay as pleasant as possible. After surviving the storm night in the tent, the next storm warning came the next day: much worse. So still in a bungalow. For a very fair price it offered everything a family needs: kitchenette, enough space, refrigerator. It's nice that the bungalows aren't too close together. There is a small front garden for each one, in which you could, for example, have a barbecue with the neighbor (which some have also done). The whole campsite lives from its family atmosphere, anonymity does not exist here. Italy is big, I don't know if I'll come to Calabria again. Europe is much bigger, there are still many unknown destinations that are not in Italy. The world is much bigger, the number of goals is almost infinite. But one thing is certain: if I come to Calabria again: it will be here! Thanks to Agostino, Danila and the team at Camping Ginestra for the warmth, helpfulness and an unforgettable holiday!

Consiglio ?
Recently returned from the Village. Family-run structure where the owner Agostino and his staff are available in everything. Despite the lack of entertainment this year, there have been several themed evenings for both adults and children to enjoy. Central location where you can reach Tropea, Scilla, Pizzo, Capo Vaticano in less than an hour. The sometimes Caribbean sea, even if the torrent of time made it less clear. Council ?

Actually we wanted to spend only one night at this place but we ended up staying 4 nights there ^^ we just fall in love with this place.. I'll start with the family: the family who runs this camping place is super friendly and really nice people and make you feel very comfortable to talk with or just being around them and they just behaves very naturally the ?? behaves :) and we really like that ?? The camping place is very nice and very calm and also have a very nice location and nice beach :) The beach and sea are really amazing! The beach is withesandy and quiet wide and not crowded at all so that everyone can find a place to relax, play or workout. It is especially qiet in the morning and evening time and a perfect place to meditate, practice Yoga or do some workout. The sunsets at the beach are amazingly beautiful. At dawn you can watch the red sun dropping into the blue water. It is also nice to take a walk along the beach to the next small village. Nicotera offers a couple of restaurant, a small supermarket and some bars :) you can also go by car for a short trip to Scilla which is a really beautifull city or go a bit further to Lungomare Falcomatà. Tropea is also a worthy trip or you just explore yourself and make your own experience :) In the evening we recommend you to have a cold beer at the bar and eat a deliciouse Pizza made by the friendly and heartily cook Abdul in a traditional pizza oven with wood fire ?????? For vegans and vegetarians here- just ask and the cook will give you options! The vegetables are self grown in the familys gardens. You can also ask for house made wine and olive oil. We also want to say at this point that you can always ask the family here for advice or in case you need something. The camping place is of course animal friendly. We will definitly come back and untill then we wish the family all the best! Adam and Sonja ( Vienna, Austria)

We organised our trip to Calabria very last minute in August 2021 and most of the campings in Capo Vaticano were fully booked, so we drove down the coast and found this magical place. We stayed 2 nights with a small car and a tent. and the price was quite cheap. The camping is located on the beach, which is perfect for watching either the sunrise or the sunset with a direct view on the Stromboli volcano. We really appreciated the calm and relaxing atmosphere of this place. There is a small pizzeria if like us you are sometimes a bit lazy to cook, and a swimming pool if you want to take a break from the beach. The owner Agostino was so welcoming and he took care of us from the beginning to the end of our stay. Thank you very much for these unforgettable memories, we will be back on our next trip to Calabria. Estelle & Giuseppe
