La villa, chiusa al pubblica a causa di mancanza di ristrutturazione e conservazione, è ampia ed è circondata da un bellissimo parco, mentre anche al giardino e vivaio stile francese si poteva accedere solo con visite guidate. La villa è facilmente accessibile dai 4 comuni in bici. The historic villa, owned by 4 municipalities Castelfranco, Modena, San Cesario, Nonantola, is a beautiful building located on the borders of these communities. The villa, closed to the public due to lack of renovation and conservation, is large and is surrounded by a beautiful park, while the French-style garden and nursery could only be accessed by guided tours. The villa is easily accessible from the 4 municipalities by bike.

Le foto allegate (a parte la prima) sono immagini che ormai appartengono al passato. The heart cries to see how the short-sightedness of our politicians has reduced this splendid villa to abandonment and decay. The attached photos (apart from the first one) are images that now belong to the past.

Nel weekend un pò affollato. A beautiful place for relaxing walks! A 15 minute drive from San Giovanni, so very convenient. The large and quiet parking. A little crowded on weekends.

s	stefano pellini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Villa e il luogo sono di per sé meravigliosi: celebre per essere stata scelta da Pasolini per il suo ultimo film. Il sentiero intorno al parco è sempre fruibile e nasconde sorprese (orchidee selvatiche, ninfee, volatili e…nutrie); il parco della villa è sempre chiuso (lo ricordo da bambino: rovine romantiche, grotte, ponticelli, la limonaia…), così come la villa stessa. Un luogo del genere - proprietà di quattro comuni - andrebbe valorizzato e sarebbe un’attrattiva pazzesca: invece l’idea è quella di abbandono. E dire che il luogo merita, e merita davvero tanto. The Villa and the place are wonderful in themselves: famous for having been chosen by Pasolini for his latest film. The path around the park is always accessible and hides surprises (wild orchids, water lilies, birds and ... nutria); the park of the villa is always closed (I remember it as a child: romantic ruins, caves, bridges, the lemon house ...), as well as the villa itself. Such a place - owned by four municipalities - should be enhanced and would be a crazy attraction: instead the idea is that of abandonment. And to say that the place deserves, and it really deserves a lot.

I	Irene Saltini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The building features some beautiful rooms with painted walls (the furniture was sold by the owners before the villa was acquired by the municipality) and some ingenious hidden passages that the servants could use to deliver food and laundry to the guests while remaining unseen. Part of the garden can be visited freely, but the most interesting half, the Romantic garden, can only be visited with a tour guide. Some very nice views and photo ops can be found there, including the fake ruins of a castle. Both the villa and the garden are, however, in dire need of maintenance, it is a real pity that this beautiful location is in such a state of disrepair.
