★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Se si mangiasse come il posto si presenta meriterebbe qualche stella in più, nulla dì speciale o degno dì nota. Il servizio non è dei migliori, con pochi commensali attese lunghe e ingiustificate ed anche il conto è sproporzionato alla qualità offerta. Non avevo molte aspettative ma anche quelle poche sono state disattese.
 If you ate as the place looks like it would deserve a few more stars, nothing special or noteworthy. The service is not the best, with few diners waiting long and unjustified and also the bill is disproportionate to the quality offered. I didn't have many expectations but even those few were not met.

It is also a bed-n-breakfast with a restaurant. You must make reservations for the restaurant.
But you can do a "walk-in" wine tasting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is clean! It’s a welcome sight when you pull into this place because there’s no trash and the grounds are perfectly manicured. The wine is great! I’ll be taking my family back here to stay the night and to eat at the restaurant because if they put that much care into their wine then I’m sure the food would be awesome

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On a recent trip to Italy with family members, we stopped in at Villa Matilde to attend a wine tasting. It was late in the day at that time but the person working still poured some wine and gave us a quick tasting. We arranged to return the following day for a wine tasting and food pairing and the only word needed is Fabulous!!! An incredible experience with incredible food and wine. Our server was knowledgeable and explained the wines and added to how special our experience was. If you are in that area of Italy, it is so worth the cost. The cost is a per person price and based on how many courses and wines you have.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mr. Salvatore, the owner, with his family and team creates a unique place with a wonderful atmosphere. You can relax in it, eat very tasty and taste great wines. Villa Matilda is also a historic place not only for wine growing in Campania, but also for the whole of Italy, because it is here that wine is made, referring to the famous, ancient Falernum, and therefore the best wine in the times of ancient Rome. Of course, nowadays this wine is adapted to current tastes, but it is really worth tasting.
