★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A shame. I did not know Grock before visiting. If you have a minimum of respect for that person, you could collect pictures, documents, accessories, etc. And maintain a minimum the garden and the house to a decent level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hearing the history of Villa Grock from its neighboring houses, one can really appreciate the efforts of Imperia to restore the villa. I was lucky to have been in Imperia and see Villa Grock, which has been designed by Grock himself. If you look closely at the details (e.g. windows, panels, even cement borders), you will see his artistic genius. It was unfortunate that when he died the house was left to ruins and I heard no family members took care of it. So I am thankful that the state of Imperia bought it and is slowly restoring it back and developed it into a museum. Grock is the one who popularized the red nose, and people should know more about him!

It would have been nice to see the home in the way it was lived in and not with weird clown toys and screens everywhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Villa Grock is the home of the Swiss circus performer who became known as Grock. This amazing building was completely conceived and designed by Mr Grock who also planned all the symbolic decorations around. Many of them are reminiscent of the jugglers' instruments, but there are also references to the stars and many spirals representing the infinite! The whole Villa is a work of art.
