Si trattava di ina fastosa villa residenziale Marittima, con molti ambienti, costruita utilizzando anche materiale dell'antica Pyrae, città che intorno al sec. 314 diventò colonia romana.
 Remains of a Roman villa from the II-I century. A. C., attributed to the consul Marco Emilio Scauri, are present both in the "Dal Console" restaurant and in the adjacent Franco property. It was a sumptuous Maritime residential villa, with many rooms, also built using material from the ancient Pyrae, a city that around the century. 314 became a Roman colony.
