Villa Arcadio Hotel & Restaurant

An absolute Gem of a find. Impeccable attention to service and design. Beautiful views from a unique vantage point on Lake Garda.

This place is amazing! Everything from rooms to food and service is perfect. The view is magnificent and while there are cities nearby the location is peaceful and relaxing.

The service was by far the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel of this price class. On arrival, we were shown to our room, but no one offered to help with our bags, or explained a single thing about the hotel (i.e. breakfast times, pool location, general information of any kind). After dropping our bags, we decided to have a drink and asked to sit at a table with a view, but were told these were reserved for people eating in the restaurant (which was completely empty). Apparently paying over £300 a night for a room doesn't justify getting a nice table. The next morning we asked for assistance in organising a wine tasting, and were given the name of a winery. We asked multiple times if we needed to book and were told that no, we should just go there. On arrival at the winery we were (unsurprisingly) told that we could not do a tasting, it was reservation only. When I returned to the hotel, and relayed this to the receptionist, she said "ah ok". No apology, no offer to help organise this better. Since the winery visit plan failed, we decided to go to the pool. I tried to find a pool towel, and when I couldn't, asked for help from a member of staff and was told I needed to go to reception and get it myself. No staff around anywhere. Same situation 30min later when we wanted to order drinks - no one around anywhere. The peak of the bad experience came at night, when we went back to our room after dinner, and the key card needed to turn on the electricity in the room wasn't working. We went to reception to ask for help - again NO ONE around. We finally found someone to help, and he came to the room and tried multiple times to make the card work, but couldn't. I asked what were supposed to do now, and he walked away and said "go to the bar". It was 11pm at this stage and we had just come from the bar, so told him we wanted to find a solution to the room, not to go the bar. He was extremely rude. When we asked to change to a room with electricity we were told there weren't any. I ended up going down to the bar with the intention of getting candles (desperate times!) and was then helped by the Maitre D', who said there were 2 rooms available. It turns out we were lied to, and the room right next to ours was actually available, yet the hotel tried to make us stay in a dark room with no air conditioning! We were given the room key and no one helped to offer us in any way, so my partner and I had to move our belongings from one room to the other in complete darkness using our iphone flashlights. The next morning, no one offered an apology or acknowledged the situation in any way until we asked to speak to the manager. They gave us the room for free for the night, but in retrospect, I regret paying for any part of our stay. The service wasn't bad, it was non-existent. Steer clear of this place!

We stayed here over 10 years ago and returned tonight for dinner, which was excellent. A very relaxing and enjoyable evening with helpful and attentive staff helping make this another memorable evening. Highly recommended.

An old monastery renovated with a great taste into gorgeous unique villa. Very beautiful and quiet location with a view over olive gardens, Salò rooftops and a lake. The staff are very professional and super friendly. We stayed at Villa Arcadio one night and had my birthday dinner at Villa's restaurant - food was excellent and wine was simply outstanding. I will definitely come back again since one night was too short stay in this fantastic place. Highly recommended for couples who are looking for a special, romantic and relaxing experience.

The views, service, atmosphere are fabulous! Small hotel (only 18 rooms) extremely personal service! lots of local recommendations for good food and wine. The hotel has a fabulous setting up on the hill, among olive trees and grape vines, there is also a beautiful fig tree! The rooms are cosy and the aircon is quiet and the water pressure is amazing! also the food and drinks and pool are beautiful, could stay there the whole time! the staff were the best! 10/10

It’s the picture perfect spot/hotel/restaurant, that’s for sure. But when you are being served the food, you will experience yet another reality. Imagine being served with food that meets your subconscious craving to experience sophisticated novel flavours, combinations, pairings. And imagine all of that being of utmost pleasing, loving and caring quality. This restaurant gives you all you need, and will open your horizon into otherworldly adventures. A recommendation without any restrictions.
