Ho provato a chiamare al numero del negozio perché la disperazione aveva preso il sopravvento con la consapevolezza che, essendo domenica, non avrebbe risposto nessuno, e invece..... si sono dati da fare per risolvere il problema.
I was locked out of the house on Sunday due to a defect in the key. I tried to call the number of the shop because desperation had taken over with the knowledge that, being Sunday, no one would answer, and instead ..... they worked hard to solve the problem.
