I also loved learning more about the process for making their labels, which are pieces of art themselves. We did the experience tasting and it was definitively worth it. Our guide (Elena) through these amazing wines was great. The only sad part was that they didn’t sell the Barolo (Lazzarito 2017) that we loved on site and had to go to a local wine store (which is a bit strange).

However, instead of spending 70 eur per person on a degustation at Vietti, I would rather recommend going to a local wine bar and spending it on a good bottle of Vietti Barolo. In the end, the tour isn’t worth the money and you won’t be able to buy everything you are tasting, as single wine yard vintages are not available for purchase at the winery.

The tour was very informative, we were everywhere, the guide was awesome, and most importantly - they have amazing wines. Definitely worth a visit!

Their wines are undoubtedly lovely but the tour and tasting experience is rather disappointing particularly given its price tag. We have visited a dozen or so wineries in the region and I am afraid to say our visit to Vietti was one I wouldn’t necessarily recommend. It felt quite rushed and commercialised compared to other wineries. I am sure Vietti will disagree and point to their “artisan” and small scale but please don’t offer wines to taste that you don’t want to sell unless you make this very clear when booking your tour. I hope this isn’t a reflection of the US ownership. I wish the winery well for their vintages to come.

The tour was perfectly curated and Lucia could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We had wine, cheese, meat, chocolate, and an overall impeccable experience. Thank you Lucia for an unforgettable evening!
