Gli abitanto sono socievoli e laboriosi , ha conosciuto nei decenni precedenti la crisi di un notevole boom economico come tutto il nord est . Negli anni della crisi dopo il 2008 ha subito tracolli finanziari ,il piu noto legato alle vicende dela cassa di risparmio che ha toccato dolorosamente molte famiglie e imprenditori .
