C	Claudio Tricoli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Di per sé, almeno dall'esterno, è una struttura piuttosto fatiscente e delude un po', ma considerando che è ancora funzionante (e mi sarebbe piaciuto vederli all'opera!) con più di mille anni alle spalle e che l'orrido di Loro Ciuffenna vale da solo la visita al Borgo, merita le 5 stelle. In itself, at least from the outside, it is a rather dilapidated structure and it disappoints a bit, but considering that it is still functional (and I would have liked to see them at work!) With more than a thousand years behind it and that the gorge of Loro Ciuffenna alone is worth the visit to the Borgo, it deserves the 5 stars.

Positioned sheer on the rocks next to the stream, it suggests its function while maintaining, although not perfectly preserved, its charm of an ancient artifact.

Ambiente intimo ma allo stesso tempo pieno di storie narrate dalle sue mura e viuzze di altri tempi. Consigliato anche per una fuga d'amore romantica immersi nel verde. Loro Ciuffenna, a unique place! not for anything else one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Intimate environment but at the same time full of stories told by its walls and alleys of other times. Also recommended for a romantic getaway surrounded by greenery.

Ci sono un paio di negozi di generi alimentari, 2 bar, 3 ristoranti e pochissimo altro. Il percorso per vedere il vecchio mulino ad acqua non è ben segnalato (anche se non è difficile da trovare) e, quando lo si trova, non si capisce bene se si può accedere o no dato che accanto al passo per scendere al fiume c’è una catena tirata giù. Inoltre sulle sponde del fiume c’è un po’ di sporcizia che rovina la bellezza del posto. Bella la vista dall'alto della gola scavata dal torrente però, se dovete venire qui a posta per visitare il paesino, non ve lo consiglio. Se invece passate di qui in un giro più ampio , allora potete fermarvi per visitare anche il mulino e il centro del borgo. The historic center of the village is really tiny and decidedly "unguarded". There are a couple of grocery stores, 2 bars, 3 restaurants and very little else. The path to see the old water mill is not well marked (even if it is not difficult to find) and, when you find it, it is not clear whether you can access it or not since next to the pass to go down to the river there is it's a chain pulled down. Also on the banks of the river there is a bit of dirt that ruins the beauty of the place. The view from the top of the gorge carved by the stream is beautiful, however, if you have to come here on purpose to visit the village, I do not recommend it. If, on the other hand, you pass through here on a wider tour, then you can stop to visit the mill and the center of the village.

Sorprendente la vista del torrente Ciuffenna, l'acqua è cristallina e si fa spazio con forza dirompente attraverso delle gole rocciose molto suggestive. Il vecchio mulino dovrebbero valorizzarlo e renderlo visitabile. Peccato che non ho avuto tempo per il pranzo o la cena , mi sarebbe piaciuto fermarmi in uno dei ristoranti nascosti nelle minuscole piazzette. Penso che ritornerò col caldo e col costume da bagno e farò un bel tuffo in quell'acqua stupenda.
