La zona è tranquillamente percorribile nella sua interezza facendo un po' di attenzione. Ovviamente è assente ogni tipo di manutenzione ma così deve essere per lasciare il giusto habitat a tutti gli abitanti della zona che vanno dagli ungulati agli scoiattoli alle folaghe (che qui trovano un habitat ideale). Il posto è raggiungibile da via della croce che da direttamente sulla via Emilia o dal sentiero che costeggia il fiume Ronco e ciò lo rende adatto sia ad escursioni sia a passeggiate domenicali. Queste grandissime vasche artificiali scavate nel terreno erano utilizzate come deposito per le acque di scolo dello zuccherificio di Forlimpopoli ed, una volta che questo fu chiuso, divennero vasche per contenere eventuali piene del fiume adiacente. The place can be reached from via della Croce which leads directly onto via Emilia or from the path that runs along the Ronco river and this makes it suitable for both excursions and Sunday walks. These huge artificial basins dug into the ground were used as a deposit for the sewage water of the Forlimpopoli sugar factory and, once this was closed, they became basins to contain any floods of the adjacent river.
