★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Le sentier pour monter au sommet du volcan se trouve en arrière de l’église. Bon point de repaire (voir la photo de l'église vu du dentier plus haut). Nous avons marché de Malfa pour s'y rendre. Ca prends environ 1 heure de marche (tempo assez rapide).
The path to climb to the top of the volcano is behind the church. Good point of lair (see photo of the church seen from the denture above). We walked from Malfa to get there. It takes about 1 hour of walking (tempo fairly fast).

La storia della nascita del santuario è legata alla figura di un eremita che costruì un luogo modesto dove ritirarsi per pregare. In questa modesta struttura l’eremita appose l’immagine della Madonna.
The sanctuary is one of the most famous and visited places of Marian worship in the Aeolian Islands. The sanctuary of the Madonna del Terzito was built in honor of the Madonna around 1630. The history of the birth of the sanctuary is linked to the figure of a hermit who built a modest place to retreat to pray. In this modest structure the hermit affixed the image of the Madonna.
