Per ottant'anni nell'orbita de La Rinascente, nel gennaio 2010 è diventata di proprietà del Gruppo Coin, che l'ha acquisita dal Gruppo Investitori Associati/Pirelli Real Estate/Deutsche Bank/Borletti.
Lo slogan «é di casa» si addice bene alla promozione dei prodotti di casa, di profumeria e di abbigliamento. La sua sede principale è Venezia, seppure la grande distribuzione organizzata ha consentito una forte presenza su tutto il territorio nazionale. Catanzaro in questo senso è diventato punto di riferimento.
 UPIM ("Unico Prezzo Italiano Milano") is an Italian chain of low-end department stores managed by OVS. For eighty years in the orbit of La Rinascente, in January 2010 it became the property of the Coin Group, which acquired it from the Investitori Associati / Pirelli Real Estate / Deutsche Bank / Borletti Group.
