Buona comunque la posizione, perché è facilmente raggiungibile da quasi tutte le facoltà. Large library with many books, including several are rare. Dispone inoltre di un sistema online di prenotazione e consultazione a mio avviso molto efficiente. Poi magari sarà un caso che con me è stato figo e con gli altri fa cagare. V	Veronica on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Organizzazione pessima, ci sono stata una volta per prendere in prestito un libro. Un incubo, sono dovuta stare lì due ore il primo giorno. E me ne sono uscita senza libro. Questo sarebbe dovuto tornare dal prestito circa una settimana più tardi, quindi mi sono rifatta viva, ma il libro era ancora fuori e la ragazza che lo aveva non rispondeva. Allora mi hanno detto che quando sarebbe tornato mi avrebbero chiamata, non mi hanno mai più richiamata e io il libro non l'ho più visto. Mi hanno fatto perdere un sacco di tempo, nessuno sapeva risolvere il problema, la mia richiesta è finita nel dimenticatoio, c'è una disorganizzazione generale. La biblioteca sarebbe bella e ben fornita, ma se si ha gente che non sa lavorare si conclude poco. Bad organization, I was there once to borrow a book. Nonostante il nome non è collegata alla università di Padova ma appartiene direttamente al ministero, per cui per il prestito dei libri è necessaria una loro tessera, la quale si ottiene facilmente se si è studenti di Padova (teoricamente i residenti fuori regione devono motivare la loro presenza al momento del prestito). Vi sono al suo interno gli spazi per lo studio. Gli armadietti per la messa in posto degli zaini sono veramente vecchi e alcuni di difficile apertura, davvero scomodi e da rivedere in futuro. Mille fogli e foglietti da compilare, documenti da dare, firme, attese, finisci per errore nella sala sbagliata dove devi consegnare a un impegato a mano le collocazioni che un altro impiegato in un'altra sala ti ha fatto scrivere sul foglio. Quindi non trovi nessuno e aspetti finché ti insospettisci e nel frattempo hai gettato un'ora in un buco temporale che ti ributta nello scorso millennio. E poi niente ossigeno, luci al neon tutto il giorno... i libri come alternativa alla vita. A library that still works in the digital age as it did in the 70s. P	Paolo Zanotto on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima e storica biblioteca con più di tre secoli di storia (aperta dalla Serenissima a fine Seicento), è la più antica biblioteca universitaria in Italia, tanto che a dispetto del nome non fa parte dell'università come in origine ma dipende oggi dal Ministero dei beni culturali (è utilizzabile quindi da tutta la cittadinanza, non dai soli studenti); esternamente fornita di testi di ogni disciplina e genere, anche antichi (da consultare in sede). Io la frequento regolarmente e mi trovo benissimo, riesco sempre a trovare i testi che cerco ed il personale è estremamente competente e disponibile (mi telefona sempre se qualcosa che ho ordinato non è momentaneamente disponibile permettendomi così di cambiare scelta in tempo); a differenza di quanto detto da alcuni non ci sono più problemi di natura tecnologica, se è vero che in passato funzionava tutto a fogli e foglietti vari con molta burocrazia, oggi fa parte del sistema galileodiscovery insieme alle altre biblioteche di Padova (cittadine e di ateneo), quindi i libri si prenotano comodamente online (o per telefono) e si ritirano dopo aver fissato (sempre online o per telefono) appuntamento necessario a causa covid; in questo modo è rimasta sempre aperta per il banco prestito, anche nelle fasi più dure dell'epidemia, dando un grande supporto per la cultura ed il tempo libero in un momento difficile. Beautiful and historic library with more than three centuries of history (opened by the Serenissima at the end of the seventeenth century), it is the oldest university library in Italy, so much so that despite the name it is not part of the university as it originally was but now depends on the cultural heritage (it can therefore be used by all citizens, not just students); externally provided with texts of every discipline and genre, including ancient ones (to be consulted on site). I frequent it regularly and I have a great time, I always manage to find the texts I'm looking for and the staff is extremely competent and helpful (they always call me if something I ordered is temporarily unavailable, thus allowing me to change my choice in time); unlike what some have said, there are no longer problems of a technological nature, if it is true that in the past everything worked in various sheets and leaflets with a lot of bureaucracy, today it is part of the galileodiscovery system together with the other libraries of Padua (city and university ), then the books can be easily booked online (or by phone) and collected after making an appointment (always online or by phone) necessary due to covid; in this way it has always remained open for the loan desk, even in the hardest phases of the epidemic, giving great support for culture and free time in a difficult moment.
