★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've known Umberto Cesari's wines for a long time and always wanted to go. Finally I was able to visit the winery a week ago. What an awesome place and great wines... but most important the people! Marina took us to a thorough visit explaining every single detail of what makes these wines so good. The tasting was organized to perfection, paired to local cheeses and cold cuts. Amazing! She makes you fall in love with Cesari's wines and Emilia Romagna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bit of a mixed feeling. We e-mailed the day before whether we could do a tour and taste some wines. No tours that day, but we could taste some wines in the shop. When we arrived we had to show our international QR codes for covid. Nothing about that was mentioned in the e-mail received the day before. This was a bit unexpected since this has never been asked to us at any restaurant, shop or winery etc. However, no problem since we’re both fully vaccinated. After this we were told that we could only try one wine each, because of covid. The shop was quite empty, on the outside terrace nobody was sitting and we just showed the covid proof so it was confusing as well as disappointing that we could only try one wine each. Also this was not mentioned in the mail we received. The wines were excellent (it was no coincidence that we visited this winery) and that is of course the most important thing. We bought quite some bottles, but unfortunate that we did not get to taste and buy some of the other wines. Therefore 4 stars and hopefully we can visit again in the future and do a proper tour!

Delicious wine really.
Would only have expected a factory discount, the prices were the same as Vivino.
