I advise you to go to the Palazzo Casali headquarters of the MAEC, located in Piazza Signorelli. My family and I have been there on the occasion of the coach trip. This palace is known by the name Palazzo Pretorio. The facade of the building dates back to the seventeenth century, but was built in the thirteenth century by the Casali lordship and used as a residence during the lordship of Cortona (1325-1409). From 1411 it was the seat of the Florentine captains and commissioners, as evidenced by the stone coats of arms on the right side outside and on the walls of the internal courtyard. The palace in 1728 became the seat of the Etruscan Academy and houses the museum. In its two underground floors they were in the past prisons and now it is the Museum of the Etruscan and Roman City of Cortona. The Palazzo has on the first floor the Historical Archive, the Municipality library and the Etruscan Academy e. I recommend you stop in Cortona for lunch or dinner, here you can eat really well. I wish you a good trip and happy holidays. ? Did you like the review? Like! Io vi auguro buon viaggio e buone vacanze. ? Ti è piaciuta la recensione? Metti mi piace!
