Alessandro is a joy to be around. He makes food and the preparation of food a wonderful experience. I recently took a class and he prepared for a group of 10 that was delicious. He brings humor, a love of the food and amazing skill to the table. Anyone using his services will not be disappointed.

My daughters (7, 11 yrs old) and I had a private cooking course with Chef Alessandro in August, and It was truly a great and pleasure experience! He is patient and knowledgeable, and most important is, he is willing to give all he knows to teach us. We learn 4 course menu from him, and he teaches us step by step and shows us all the details and techniques from preparation to presentation. We’ve been taking a few cooking courses in Italy from the past years, and without doubt his course is one of the best! Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon, we would highly recommend Alessandro to those who want to learn authentic and traditional Italian and especially Tuscan cuisine. You won’t regret!

On a recent trip to Tuscany, I had booked Allisandro for a private dinner cooked at a villa I had rented. On arrival, discovering that the kitchen was not equipped for the menu that I was interested in doing, I was forced to cancel the private cooking session. As an alternative, Alessandro offered participation in a class at the Little Kitchen. I'm usually not interested in group cooking classes but made an exception. A very fortunate thing for me. The cooking class and evening were exceptional in every respect. Alessandro's approach to the class was superb with respect to planning, staging, involvement of participants individually and collectively, and the quality of the food and wine, as well as the details and techniques of its preparation. If you happen to be planning a trip to Tuscany and can arrange to be in the vicinity of Montisi, I strongly recommend Alessandro's instruction to any serious cook. You will not be disappointed.

My favorite experience in Montisi! We started the morning by going to a local market with Alessandro, where he taught us the best produce to pick out and what to look out for. We went back to his kitchen where we prepped all the things we got: from mixing the stuffing and the correct way to make and shape raviolis, we also prepped a beautiful Baccala, some antipasti (the fried artichoke is definitely something I’ll make on my own), and the simple but incredibly tasty mascarpone mousse. Alessandro’s experience and knowledge of Italian cuisine was invaluable! All in all, the experience added a lovely taste (literally and figuratively) to our trip!

The truffle hunting and cooking with truffles class was fascinating and engaging—a really wonderful and unforgettable experience. We learned a lot about the practice of the hunt, its challenges and its secrets from Niko, hunter and storyteller extraordinaire, and wonder dog Rocky. The fresh tagliolini with truffle that we made under the gentle direction of Chef Alessandro was really delicious—and Montisi a charming place to visit. A great time all round. Thanks again Alessandro and Niko!

Grazie Mille!!! We had the BEST time with Alessandro at his kitchen in Montisi. It was fun, informative, and 100% delicious. So grateful for the recipes for all we made as we will make them again for sure. Montisi is a gem of a town. It was a highlight of our time in Italy and a great family bonding experience. Ciao!!

Alessandro prepared an amazing birthday celebration dinner for me and my family on September 5 during our stay at Le Balze di Rosennano. He prepared a four course meal including birthday cake with wines selected by his sommelier. The antipasti was an aged pecorino flan paired with a Vino Blanco; followed by Ricotta Buttons with Prawns Tartare (Priimi) paired with a Rosato; followed by Roasted Lamb, paired with a Talenti Rosso di Montalcino; concluding with the birthday torte paired with a Vin Santo. EAch dish was superb and beautifully plated. Thank you Allessandro for a memorable experience!
