★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The waiters were very polite and well educated and the food and its origins. Everything was presented very beautiful and also tastes delicious. We had to wait about ten minutes, because there was no free table. But we were offered a free aperitif while we waited. Every oil and salt and so on has its own story that was told. Where it was produced, what was special about it, and why it was chosen for your food. Thank you, it was one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had.

We recommend truffle paste, you must try it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I couldn’t believe it is an Italy restaurant. Food was very salty. 18 euro starter was a joke! 6 slides of whatever fish in the plate with awful sauce. Later the Homemade pasta was very disappointing. Sorry for very cruel reviews, but seriously, we paid the most expensive bill in Sicily but worst food got.

Mozzarella Burrata made me literally cry. I’m not a fan at all but this one was mind blowing!!!
Mussels in tomato sauce are delicious!
Checked other restaurants but the last night returned to Mama Rosso for an amazing Pasta with seafood :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best restaurant in Taormina! The quality of the food, the service and the location are marvelous.
We decided to eat spontaneously at Mamma Rossa and were treated very well. The waiters are attentive! Our dinner was carpaccio di manzo, fish and pasta and also a canolo and an almond parfait - amazing!
Our favorite wine is the bianco Mari (from Etna).
We highly recommend this place! Thats why we came back and ate again.
The dinner we had was a culinary experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The host stopped me as I was making my way back from town center to the hotel. At 6:45pm it was dinner time yet, so I decided to give it a try.
It was a good decision.
Right off the bat, the caprese salad was amazing. Teh cherry tomatoes the most flavorful I have had. Even the bread was served with excellent olive oil, vinegar, and local sea salt. Everything came together in a spectacular way. Really enjoyed it.
For my main course I had the fresh made pasta with cuttlefish, and it delivered. It’s a fun dish. The ink makes it an adventure to eat without getting some on yourself :)
I wrapped it up with a tiramisu.
It got busy by the time I was done. Even got to hear some local street musicians.
Overall a great experience. Stop by if you are in town.
