Than the special menu order was made. And the food start arriving:)Anipasti Primi, secondi, wine , Fernet and Dolci... Magnificent!!! Well go and enjoy it- regional food, nice place and great atmosphere- Italy at its best ! :)))))

Traveling extensively throughout the world for work and in my free time and eating in all level restaurants from Michelin Star to street food and home-style cooking this place has remained one of my favorites in the world for the last years. Rarely have I met someone who chooses his recipes, beverages and ingredients with so much care and love as Savino Poffa does -- there seems to be a story behind every choice! I can only recommend to pass for a lunch or dinner if in the area. Even a longer detour will not disappoint you!!! Pure culinary heaven! :)

Sure it's homemade, the ingredients are fresh and high quality but a first course can't cost the same as a second one. Antipasti are pricy as well. Also, less salt would be better.

Wine carte with some excellent bottles from the near Franciacorta wineries. Service might be faster and ready to intercept customers curiosity but, in the end it's a family business and you deal with it. Watch out to out of menu proposal written in the board, they are billed twice but you notice only in the end.

This is a must if you'd like to understand the typical cuisine of the area. The atmosphere is lovely and unpretentious while the service is very calm and welcoming (although we did get there early so it hadn't become busy yet). The prices for the pasta may seem a bit steep, but the portions are abundant and optimal for sharing. In fact, my wife and I shared the formaggella with pancetta, the pappardelle del Mostasù and the ossobuco, and it was the perfect amount for two. The house wine is excellent, as is to be expected. Do yourself a favour and eat here as often as you're able. UPDATE: somehow through all the trials and tribulations of these past few years, it got better! Amazing local cuisine with fantastic wine and even better service!

The preparation didn't take so much of time but overall everything is a bit slow, so I recommend this place when you have enough time. The food was really the best. I would come to this restaurant even though it was the only restaurant I visited in Brescia. I don't need to try others? And also my boyfriend said the owner was really pleasant and the food was perfetto! Sicilian torta was also amazing!!!
