Ambiente molto tranquillo e riservato con sale dedicate per piccoli gruppi che preferiscono la riservatezza. Ottimi vini siciliani A discreet restaurant with very polite service and traditional Messina dishes cooked with good quality. Very quiet and reserved environment with dedicated rooms for small groups who prefer privacy. Excellent Sicilian wines

Personalmente svecchierei gli ambienti, ma questo è un giudizio personale che esula dalla qualità del cibo..( ma anche l'occhio vuole la sua parte!).Possibilità di una sala riservata dove mangiare in assoluta tranquillità, che in questo momento storico non è da sottovalutare. Good typical Sicilian cuisine, good service, with friendly and polite staff. Personally I would refresh the rooms, but this is a personal judgment that goes beyond the quality of the food .. (but the eye also wants its part!). Possibility of a reserved room where you can eat in absolute tranquility, which in this historical moment is not to be underestimated.

L'ingresso è un po' anonimo, quasi spartano, però una volta entrati ci si trova in un ambiente d'altri tempi ove è possibile degustare vari piatti della cucina tradizionale siciliana in tutta tranquillità e riservatezza. All'interno anche una saletta decentrata. L'arredamento vintage è molto curato e ti catapulta in un passato pieno di vecchie tradizioni quasi ormai dimenticate che profumano però di ricordi dell'infanzia. Il personale ti mette a proprio agio e è molto cortese. Nella stessa struttura coesiste un piccolo c&c (camera e colazione) come ama definirlo la proprietaria che può ospitare turisti che hanno così la possibilità di trovarsi al centro della città e poter così visitare i monumenti e luoghi particolari. Excellent restaurant located in the historic center of the city. The entrance is a bit anonymous, almost spartan, but once inside you find yourself in an environment of other times where it is possible to taste various dishes of traditional Sicilian cuisine in complete tranquility and privacy. Inside there is also a decentralized room. The vintage furniture is very nice and catapult you into a past full of old traditions almost forgotten by now that however smell of childhood memories. The staff put you at ease and are very courteous. In the same structure there is a small c & c (room and breakfast) as the owner likes to define it, which can accommodate tourists who thus have the possibility of being in the center of the city and thus being able to visit the monuments and particular places.

I really like the menu read to me and only having a few options. As I said, it’s authentic - like being in Maria’s home kitchen!! Both the pastry and ricotta were baked perfectly. Service was attentive and Placido spoke excellent English! A must if in Messina!
