Trattoria Arrhais

In reading the other reveiws, perhaps they just don't like Americans, but this was our most dissappointing meal in Italy by far. Extraordinarily unfriendly waiter, almost surly. The "fresh fish" looked like the dregs of the ocean. Grilled calamari that was so burned I couldn't even cut it. Out of 10 plates that came to the table we enjoyed 3 and didn't eat the other 6. The waiter brought a salad but neglected to bring forks for plates after our entrees. Two of our party were sick overnight. Stay away.

Lovely food and ambience Infront of the sea from one end and on the road from the other. A good stopover restaurant whilst on the way to for eg: gole di tiberio.

Read some reviews for this restaurant on both Google and TripAdvisor, seemed OK. Pre-review disclaimer I'm not sure how much the pandemic has affected the quality and staffing of the restaurants in this area. That said I would say to avoid this restaurant. We had two starters: insalata di polpo (octopus salad) ;this was mediocre, octopus was a little chewy but I understand that it can be difficult to get right so I was willing to overlook this. Pepata di cozze (mussels cooked in white wine with pepper) ;this was not so great I normally expect some garlic and parsley in this broth and often dip bread into the remaining broth to finish but I was reluctant to do so as it was not particularly flavoursome. For the two mains we had : Fritto di Paranza (assorted fried fish usually gamberetti, triglie, sogliolette, alici This was probably the best dish we had in this meal, lightly floured and then fried and served with lemon. The worst dish in this meal was the other main dish we ordered which was Grigliata di pesce misto Which consisted of 3 prawns and one Orata and one calamaro We ate the prawns and the calamaro but odor from the orata was very strong and we were put off from eating it At this point the restaurant was quite busy but we had decided to get the bill and leave we requested the bill twice but still had to wait 30 min to receive the bill. I didn't complain about the orata but I suspect the waitstaff, of which there were three, were aware of the odor whilst removing the uneaten portion as one did offer an amaro on the house which I accepted however this was added to my final bill. This was a disappointing dining experience and whilst some people would say I should complain at POS I have found historically that staff can often become very confrontational and I wish to avoid such incidents. I would recommend to check some of the other one star reviews on this restaurant on here as there is one from a guy who feared food poisoning! Thank you for reading.

Found this place second to last day we were in Cecilia. Came back the last day for more! Great food, great atmosphere and really friendly staff. The picture is from our table while eating. ☺️

Restaurant on the seaside with great summer garden. Direct to view on the sea. Waiter was really attentive and food was delicious. Had a great time.

Good local fresh fish, friendly staff, fantastic panoramic view. Fair price for the quality of the food. 5 stars+

in love!! I choose a caprese with a Madonian mozzarella cheese, and felt so soft. The best one I ever ate. Then the swordfish... A masterpiece!
