Eravamo in 13 ed abbiamo speso una media di 25 euro a testa, con due portate a persona, contorno, dolce e vino della casa. All excellent, from appetizers to desserts. There were 13 of us and we spent an average of 25 euros each, with two courses per person, side dish, dessert and house wine.

L	LP1970 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il castello di Avio, letteralmente appeso ai primi contrafforti del ripidissimo versante occidentale della val Lagarina, domina strategicamente il solco tracciato dal fiume Adige in prossimità del suo sbocco nella pianura veneta, proprio là dove oggi corre il confine regionale. Pochi chilometri più a sud, nella piccola borgata di Brentino, siamo già in provincia di Verona, e la cucina della trattoria "al Ponte" ne porta il segno evidente: l'ottimo risotto al radicchio rosso e salsiccia, il risotto con le sardelle, il baccalà mantecato indicano chiaramente in quale direzione scorre il fiume. Superbo il coniglio al forno con la polenta, così come i dessert (una sbrisolona mantovana ed un semifreddo al pistacchio). Siamo in Veneto, e non poteva mancare la bottiglia di grappa appoggiata sul tavolo insieme ai caffè a fine pasto. The castle of Avio, literally hanging from the first buttresses of the very steep western slope of the Lagarina valley, strategically dominates the furrow traced by the Adige river near its outlet in the Venetian plain, right where the regional border runs today. A few kilometers further south, in the small village of Brentino, we are already in the province of Verona, and the cuisine of the trattoria "al Ponte" bears the evident sign: the excellent risotto with red radicchio and sausage, the risotto with sardines, the creamed cod clearly indicate in which direction the river flows. The baked rabbit with polenta is superb, as are the desserts (a sbrisolona from Mantua and a pistachio parfait). We are in Veneto, and the bottle of grappa placed on the table together with the coffee at the end of the meal could not be missing.

Manca possibilità di vino al calice Good cod alla vicentina, excellent for how the homemade tagliatelle were "pulled", while the meat sauce was more normal. There is no possibility of wine by the glass
