Ossigeno per l'anima ed il cuore. I like the mountain regardless but in these places you remain open-mouthed. Then good food and welcome. Very good air. Oxygen for the soul and the heart.

Pur non avendo impianti sciistici in loco, le attività sportive e ricreative che si possono fare sia d'estate che d'inverno sono più numerose di qualsiasi altro posto più blasonato. La gente è ospitale e non ti spenna! Speriamo che duri. Here the mountain is truly lived. There are not only tourists. Despite not having ski facilities on site, the sports and recreational activities that can be done both in summer and in winter are more numerous than any other more famous place. People are hospitable and they don't rip you off! Hopefully it will last.

Der Südtiroler SAD-Bus fährt alle 2 Stunden von Meran aus über den Gampenpass nach Fondo. Die freundlichen Damen des örtlichen Tourismusbüros helfen mit Tipps weiter, was man im Städtchen und in der näheren Umgebung unternehmen kann. Fondo is a charming little town in the South Tyrolean neighboring province of Trentino, which is easy to visit on a day trip. The South Tyrolean SAD bus leaves every 2 hours from Merano via the Gampenpass to Fondo. The friendly ladies of the local tourist office help with tips on what to do in the town and in the surrounding area.
