Unfortunately we discovered this landmark too late in the evening and could not visit it. It merges with the surrounding buildings / in a good way ... Part of the old history of the city. Adibita oggi a mostre ed esposizioni. Sarebbe bello rendere accessibile la salita per godere il panorama sul lago di Lecco Small fortification of Visconti origin. On the ground floor, what was once the Guard's quarters and some cannon blades are still visible. Used today for exhibitions and shows. It would be nice to make the climb accessible to enjoy the view of Lake Lecco

Dentro la torre che è molto bella c'era allestita una mostra su Alessandro Manzoni che era abbastanza grande. Da fuori la Torre sembrava una cosa da niente ma entradoci non avevo parole. Siamo entrati e c'èra una statua che era molto bella e poi dentro è fatto molto bene con il pavimento di parquet. Bellissimo!!! Consiglio di andarci a chi vuole vedere Lecco questa attrazione è tra le principali. The Torre Viscontea is located fairly downtown and is very beautiful. Inside the tower that is very beautiful there was an exhibition on Alessandro Manzoni that was quite large. From outside the Tower looked like a thing from nothing but entradoci I had no words. We entered and there is a statue that was very nice and then inside it is very well done with the parquet floor. Very beautifull!!! Gli interni rispecchiano la struttura originaria, ma l'ambiente nel suo complesso risulta datato (in particolar modo le luci). Exhibition space in the city center, used for temporary exhibitions (therefore quality and interest depend on who exhibits and what is exhibited). The interiors reflect the original structure, but the environment as a whole is dated (especially the lights).

La Torre Viscontea, così conosciuta da noi lecchesi, venne restaurata nel 1816 da Giuseppe Bovara e fu poi utilizzata come carcere. Nel 1932, dopo un ulteriore restauro, la torre fu affidata dallo Stato al Comune per diventare il Museo Storico della città.
