★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dal punto della "Torre delle prigioni" parte un sentiero che raggiunge la cosiddetta " Torre Imperiale", isolata nel mezzo del bosco, sul fianco della montagna e a controllo di tutto il lago. La torre risale al 1200, ma forse è più antica. Se trova in alto, a dominio del golfo di Maccagno Imperiale. Costruita su una roccia isolata, un tempo era forse raggiungibile solo con un ponte levatoio.
In origine era alta il doppio.
Faceva parte di una serie di fortificazioni che circondavano il borgo.
