*****Update 24/03/22. They refer me to their Service department in this review and an email response finally, but the Service department continues to ignore and deny. They offer to send one part but not cover labor and ignore other items. This is a waste of time and a worthless warranty. It is obvious the Tomasi program was to waste time, delay response so client is forced to do repairs and then claim client did not follow “warranty” procedure. Original Review- I bought a used vehicle from them based on their reputation and a Tomasi client’s reference. The salesperson, Renato was excellent. We also purchased an extended warranty. After 1.5 month wait for them to make the car ready (usual in Italy,) my Italian-born wife and I were excited to receive the car and trade in our car. Unfortunately, we quickly discovered two major items had not been repaired (airbag inoperable and lumbar bladder broken.) I contacted Renato immediately via email with a video. He said someone would contact us to effect repairs. No one ever contacted us. A month later we suffered the first on a string of problems (window motor & broken window, then a “new” alternator belt and tensioner broke) while on trips. Each time we were careful to take the car to a Peugeot mechanic and had estimates before doing any work. Each time we contacted Tomasi. Since we were away from home and needed the car, and because the warranty requires we pay and request reimbursement, we had repairs done after waiting several days for Tomasi responses. Afterwards, when we pressed Tomasi for warranty coverage, providing all paid receipts and prior emails, we finally heard their response… Tomasi would cover nothing and could send just the part for airbag. They claimed we had not contacted them for approval despite evidence of our emails and Tomasi emails to Peugeot mechanic after he contacted them directly as well. I expect items like brakes or battery not to be covered, but a brand new alternator belt installed by Tomasi, and the expensive airbag and lumbar repairs conveniently delivered broken should be covered.
