L' aspetto paesaggistico è molto apprezzabile, si può godere del mare, della montagna e vivere la città che ha molti tesori d' arte. La gastronomia messinese ci fa gustare piatti gradevolissimi come lo "stoccafisso alla messinese", le "costardelle fritte accompagnate con cipolla cruda immersa in acqua e aceto con sale". Anche le fette del " pescespada grigliato" sono una vera prelibatezza. Esprimo anche un mio personale parere sui cittadini messinesi: dopo il terremoto del 1908, il messinese è ormai non più autentico ma frutto di mescolanza di popolazioni di diversi luoghi geografici, per cui non esiste più il radicamento e l' attaccamento alle proprie origini. Voglio dire fortemente, ancora, quello che spero migliori con una spinta propulsiva energica e veloce: gli amministratori messinesi e la classe imprenditoriale messinese debbono migliorare e pensare alla popolazione del territorio e non alle proprie poltroncine. The landscape aspect is very appreciable, you can enjoy the sea, the mountains and experience the city that has many treasures of art. The gastronomy of Messina makes us enjoy very pleasant dishes such as the "stoccafisso alla messinese", the "fried pieces of meat accompanied with raw onion dipped in water and vinegar with salt". Even the slices of grilled swordfish are a real delicacy. I also express my personal opinion on the citizens of Messina: after the earthquake of 1908, the Messina area is no longer authentic but the result of a mixture of populations of different geographical places, for which there is no longer any rooting and attachment to one's origins. I want to say strongly, again, what I hope will be better with an energetic and fast driving force: the Messina administrators and the Messina entrepreneurial class must improve and think about the population of the territory and not their own chairs.
