Dopo anni di chiusura ed inutilizzo, è stato da poco riaperto al pubblico ed ha visto sfilare illustri artisti e compagnie. Un must della città..forse il vero polo culturale. Siamo stati per vedere tullio de piscopo e Tony Esposito grandi musicisti che hanno accompagnato per anni il grande pino Daniele e stata una bellissima esperienza l unica pecca un po' l audio e il caldo per il resto tutto top. Nasce nella piazza Cesare Battisti a Foggia nei pressi della libreria Dante. Il suo nome è dedicato al compositore foggiano Umberto Giordano. Nel 1828 con l'inaugurazione del teatro la visione di opere era dedicata solo ai nobili e illustri, all'epoca si chiamava teatro "Real Ferdinando", dedicato in onore di Ferdinando I di Borbone. La sua eleganza tra i colori vivi e lucenti ne rispecchia i particolari. In pochi sanno che al piano di sopra nella sala "Fedora", nome dell'opera di Umberto Giordano, adibita a Convegni e Simposi, si apprezza il pianoforte ? lucido a coda originale del compositore e all'interno è posta in calce la sua firma, visto di autenticità. La svolta fu quando con la partecipazione popolare si dedicavano feste e manifestazioni carnevalesche simbolo che il teatro si riappropriava dello status cittadino. Tante le compagnie e numerosi artisti nella più svariate ed importati opere e melodrammi rappresentate nei tempi. Nel 1928 il suo nome era "Teatro Dauno".
