★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started attending plays here just after it opened, eight years ago, and I've always found it to be one of the best theatres in Milan. They offer a wide, diverse selection of contemporary plays, while also integrating a few classics each season (in the words of Elio De Capitani, "every year someone turns sixteen and has never seen Shakespeare"). Very rarely have I been disappointed by a play at this theatre. While the seasonal offer also includes avant-garde productions that might not appeal to all audiences, anyone who has the slightest interest in theatre should attend the two or three great classics that they offer each year, typically brought to the scene by true masters such as Lavia, De Capitani, Bruni and Orsini.
