★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very pleased with the personalized service and the 65 Euro price from Catania Airport to our hotel in Taormina. You really need an experienced local driver on the autostrada in Sicily. Renting a car is out of the question because there are no rules of the road, few if any traffic lights, and the speeds of the cars can sometimes reach more than 160 km per hour in zones designated for 80.
The worst…as well as the best…part of our experience was that I somehow had left my passport/travel documents/wallet in the van when we disembarked at the hotel, and didn’t realize that they were missing until we got to the checkin desk. Naturally, I panicked, but our hotel desk clerk immediately called Taormina Taxi who then got in touch with the driver by phone, and my items were returned to me in less than 15 minutes.
We reserved online 3 months before our trip, there was no deposit required, and they confirmed by email. I was a little nervous that they would not show up after booking so far ahead, but lo and behold, they were waiting at the exit door with a sign with my name on it just as they promised. Taormina Taxi is the ONLY way to go!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We contacted a few companies for a quotation to go to the Catania Airport from Taormina. Taxi Taormina offered the best price by far, about 40% less than other companies. They are great also for larger groups. They came with a very clean and nice 9-seat Mercedes van. The driver arrived a few mins early. He was very nice and drove us safely to the airport. I am very satisfied with the service and have no hesitation to recommend it.
