★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This gem of a venue in the middle of an otherwise primarily sleepy residental section of Naples is well worth a visit if you are nearby. It is a combination of typical Italian Coffee Bar in the front, and British-style pub in the back. It also has a lovely beer garden behind where you can enjoy the warm afternoon sun in the summer.
During the day you will find people popping in to the front bar and grabbing a quick espresso or aperitivo and disappearing just as quickly - possibly with on-site produced seasonal cakes and deserts in hand. By the evening, the focus shifts to the pub at the back where you will find a pretty young local crowd enjoying pints of beer ranging from generic tap beers like Tennants, through to Belgium craft beers and German Weißbier. The menu is typical pub fare - burgers, chips, steak sandwiches etc, but the proportions are very generous, and it is perfectly cooked and will leave you very satisfied. Perfect accompaniment for a few beers in the evening.
If you find yourself in San Giorgio, pop in for a refresher in the day, or a relaxing beer in the evening - well worth it.
