★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a hidden gem of an Carrefour express supermarket, located down stairs (underground) very close to the touristic area of the duomo. It was fairly busy with locals buying cold drinks and such very inexpensively versus a cold drink in the piazza at tourist prices. We were being shown around Como by locals and they knew how to avoid the high tourist prices and traps. We would have never had found this supermarket tucked away between the shops without them. Great for picking up a cold water or tea for under a euro while walking around. Of course, it's also worth the surcharge to sit in the piazza and people watch while enjoying the sights. :)

The meat counter was awesome, the cheese counter with the bakery was incredible and we really enjoyed being able to take our goodies to the ferry for breakfast!
