★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lo STUDIO KROM nasce a VIBO VALENTIA nel 1983 per tenace passione di due amici fotografi.Da alcuni anni TONIO VERILIO è unico leader. Il viaggio di Tonio attraverso l'arte della fotografia e stimolato dalla sorella patrizia,autentica ispiratrice e iniziale modella: La stessa appare tra le prime opere del maestro, realizzate con tecnica candida ma accattivanti. eppure Tonio,a mio modesto avviso,non è per niente"un" fotografo: quantomeno,inteso nell'eccezione banale del termine che si limita a descrivere chi, con l'ausilio della tecnologia fotografica rappresentata, meglio, trattegià persone,spazi,oggetti,situazioni. Tonio è "anche Fotografo": la sua personalità non puo' e non deve essere discostata da manifestazioni addizionali ben piu' complesse.E' pittore,poichè magistralmente comunica attraverso luce e ombra.E' scultore,poichè con grande perizia plasma i suoi importanti nudi.E' musicista,poichè ai montaggi offre identica meticolosità che i compositori riservano a note perfette. Dulcis in fundo,Tonio vive in perfetta armonia il complicato gusto estetico li' dove, in genere,tale raffinatezza si rivela null'altro che KITSCH. Grato alle dottrine di RICHARD AVEDON e ROBERT MAPPLERTHOPE, Tonio consegna eccellenti e intriganti singolarità ogni qualvolta brandisce l'apparecchio fotografico il quale, ben praticante l'intenzione del maestro, partorisce arditezze di luce che,per estro, non sono dissimili da lezioni importanti date in dono dal CARAVAGGIO a quanti hanno occhi per ammirare la bellezza: meravigliandosi,al suo apparire.  KROM STUDIO was born in VIBO VALENTIA in 1983 due to the tenacious passion of two photographer friends. For some years TONIO VERILIO has been the only leader. Tonio's journey through the art of photography and stimulated by his patrician sister, authentic inspirational and initial model: The same appears among the first works of the master, made with candid but captivating technique. and yet Tonio, in my humble opinion, is not at all "a" photographer: at least, understood in the banal exception of the term which merely describes who, with the help of the represented photographic technology, better, traces persons, spaces, objects , situations. Tonio is "also a Photographer": his personality cannot and must not be deviated from additional, more complex manifestations. He is a painter, as he masterfully communicates through light and shadow. He is a sculptor, as he depicts his important figures with great skill. nudi.E 'musician, as the montage offers identical meticulousness that composers reserve for perfect notes. Dulcis in fundo, Tonio lives the complicated aesthetic taste there in perfect harmony where, generally, such refinement reveals itself to be nothing but KITSCH. Grateful for the doctrines of RICHARD AVEDON and ROBERT MAPPLERTHOPE, Tonio delivers excellent and intriguing singularity whenever he brandishes the camera which, practicing the master's intention, gives birth to daring light that, by inspiration, are not unlike important lessons given as a gift from CARAVAGGIO to those with eyes to admire beauty: marveling at its appearance.
