★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have just returned from Tropea for the 3rd time in the last year, having never been before. I studied at Studio Italiano the first two times I went, travelling initially on my own, then returning with friends and finally taking my parents.
I was very nervous travelling and studying on my own for the first time, but I needn't have worried as I was made very welcome in Studio Italiano. I was met promptly by the Director Nicola at the station and he took me directly to my apartment and ensured I was comfortably settled in (this was a very big difference to another Language School I went to last year, where you were completely left to sort yourself out).
I studied with two different teachers there, Antonella and Gemma and both were lovely and very patient with me! Antonella, in particular was very friendly and helpful and has given me a very nice greeting on both of my returns.
In the summer, I also did a cooking class through the school. This was great as my friend, who wasn't studying Italian was also able to join in. We enjoyed meeting everyone and having a meal all together in beautiful surroundings.
Nicola, the Director of the school, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and is always reliable, greeting you always with a smile.
My Italian is improving now and I am sure I will be back as soon as I possibly can!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were lucky enough to take a cooking class at Studio Italiano and absolutely loved it! Everyone we met was so kind, the class was well coordinated, our cooking instructor Mariana was amazing and taught us to make two types of fresh pasta by hand, and two delicious sauces. She really took her time with us explaining all of the intricacies of handmade pasta. It was so much fun, and such a treat to enjoy our pastas with wine and friends afterwards! Bettina was there to assist and help translate, and she is absolutely lovey. Nicola is fantastic, he helped us book the class and made sure everything was running smooth. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful and the experience was one we will always remember! Grazie Mille!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I attended the cooking class were we learned how to make two local pasta dishes.
The experience was very authentic and the people involved are nothing less than amazing.
We felt part of the “familia” during our time. Nicola suggested some other tours that we were unfortunately not able to partake on this trip to Tropea but we will be definitely coming back and will contact Nicola to help arrange all of our excursions. !!
We highly recommend StudioItaliano and you can be comfortable knowing when Nicola suggests or arranges something it will be exactly as described !
