Negli anni '50 -'60 ospitavano anche le scuole elementari statali del Gelso-Carmine.
Functional and large structure of the Salesian Work in Salerno, which houses a boarding school for university students, the Parish, the Don Bosco Oratory, the Youth Center, the Care and Rest Home for Salesians, the Proposed Community, the Pre-novitiate and the Chaplaincies . In the 1950s and 1960s they also housed the state elementary schools of Gelso-Carmine.
