It is not the first time that I have been to Spiller but it will be certainly my last!! I organised a dinner with some friends on a Sunday evening before returning to the UK. I was there in the summer and we had a great time. But this time it was ruined by a football match broadcast on TV and bad customer relations. Our table was directly under a speaker, when the match started it became impossible to have a normal conversation, we had to shout to be heard and it was very annoying. We informed the staff of the problem and that the volume was excessively loud, after numerous times of asking, the volume was finally turned down. This only lasted for 15 minutes. Another ten minutes had passed and there was no abate, it was really becoming a joke, we made a strong complaint, and asked again to have the volume turned down again, at this point a member staff came to our table and tried to justify the situation, as it was a normal occurrence that football matches were shown at Spiller and that other customers enjoyed it and it was also advertised on Facebook. Reading between the lines, he was trying to say it was our fault that we had chosen an evening when a football match was shown at Spiller. I found the attitude of the staff member of staff very unprofessional and rude. If this is the case when football matches are shown at Spiller, customers should be advised/warned before being seated, that their evening may ruined, as it may be impossible to have a normal conversation with your friends, this would avoid unpleasant surprises for PAYING customers!! But this will be now a problem for someone else!! Never again!!

Awesome experience! Perfect place to go out with friends. A chill zone where you can enjoy delicious beer and yummylicious food.
