overall: 5 stars, because the beach/location is SO damn beautiful
BEACH:
it's the best beach in the area, the warm clear water beats the Lago Maggiore, you can lie down on the grass and the view over the lake to Monte Rosa provides a super photogenic scenery (wait for the sunset behind the mountains).
BAR&Service:
need a sun bed to lie on? rent it! need a drink, just order it. it's there!
Pizzeria:
good pizza with one of the best views you can get!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant beachclub on Lago di Monate. Grasses areas with plenty of shade from the trees if wanted. Restaurant is good and average priced which is just as well considering you can't bring your own food or drinks.
Cheap price to enter. Small shallow water area and play area for young kids, with a jetty for the older kids (and adults) to jump/dive off.
Parking area fills quickly during peak times and no where else to park to enter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the tiny Lake of Monate, you'll find this private beach, directly accessible from across the street, through a walkable tunnel, after you left your car in the nearby parking. Sunbeds are available, and you can rent pedalò boats. At the restaurant you can have salads , pizzas for reasonable prices

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to relax at the clean lake of Monate. Been here on a calm and sunny Tuesday morning. Very friendly and smiling staff. You can rent beds for €4 a day. There are 5-6 parasols which are fixed and cannot be moved. So if people are laying underneath them already, you need to find a spot in the shades to stay out of the sharp sun. Tasty pizzas for lunch. Although the motorway causes some unwanted noise, the overlooking view on the lake is splendid. Will be back soon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here for a pizza on a beautiful Saturday night. We didn't have any reservations, but they were kind enough to immediately find us a seat. The service was very attentive and quick, I really liked it. The food is not outstanding but you can have an above average pizza. And, if you don't know this already, the place on the shore of the lake, and if you come at the right time, you can see a beautiful sunset. Pro-tip: the parking lot is on one side of the road and the restaurant is on the other; therefore be sure that you set your destination right on your GPS.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice beach with facilities, entrance is 5 Euros per person, sunbed - 4, the water is clean, quite deep, so the kids should be watched all the time and use safety equipment.
