Sunday 10th August: I arrived at this beach at 9 am and at 9.05 am I ran away. Dirt everywhere, excrement, hard sand, dirty and bad smelling. Very dirty water.

Pebbles not sandy but to walk on them you can get around with a pair of flip-flops.

good quality beach, when compared to the area. Nothing that I do not recommend to tourists even after the partial destruction of the waterfront by a storm (in 2019). However, the sea is fairly clean and of good temperature, useful mainly for frequent residents.

The contact with the sea, now absent for most of Genoa, offers splendid views and opportunities for meditation. The walk should be in better conditions and therefore restored as soon as possible but above all the walking of dogs should be effectively prohibited, as indicated by signs, and the passage of bicycles. Both of these situations distract the pleasure of the available scenario.

I am sorry to use these words because it is still the only decent beach west of Genoa, only that they have ruined the beach more and more, in the 80s / 90s, they had thrown huge boulders near the shore, which to enter the water you had to have amphibians to not break your legs and now in April 2021 they have unloaded I don't know how much gravel (!) on the shore to compensate for the winter storms ... instead of cleaning up the streams and pushing the natural sand that settles towards the mouths and that afflicts the territory so much (the classic streams that overflow at the first rains because they are not treated) have filled everything with road gravel that when you enter the water you cry in Turkish! not to mention the walk built by I don't know which engineer and which was taken away at least 3 times, of which I remember very well one particularly disastrous, where he risked taking the little bar away over the whole walk. Should be reviewed .. For the games for children and on the promenade, there is no shade ... the slide is hot .... years ago there was a nice basketball / volleyball court that has become a cemented square of I don't know how many square meters , unused, not a tree, not a bench, not a game. Nothing they forgot there ... The positive thing are the structures set up for the children of the summer camps and the lifeguards who are very attentive and the various associations / companies and the residents around them who for more than thirty years have been doing their utmost to keep clean and tidy the flower beds. etc. Fortunately, the sea is always clean, ship transits permitting! Too bad because it would be a pearl, with some flowers, ornamental plant benches on the promenade and with a little mulberry trees to provide shade and more tricks for the little ones and free play areas! I hope for an even more respectful management in favor of society and the surrounding environment
